Product use

1. Due to the special activity of silicon-halide bonds, Chlorotrimethylsilane can be used to synthesize a series of organosilicone compounds containing silicon-functional group structures, such as trimethylalkoxysilane, hexamethyldisiloxane, hexamethyldisilazane, trimethylcyanosilane, etc.

2.Chlorotrimethylsilane is an excellent reagent to introduce trimethylsilane into organic molecules, which can be used as a protective group of hydroxyl, carboxyl, amino and other functional groups. The reaction of connecting and removing trimethylsilyl group has been widely used in organic synthesis because of its high yield, mild conditions and wide application range.

3. Some biochemical samples are reacted with Chlorotrimethylsilane to obtain silanized derivatives, which have high volatility and enable gas chromatographic analysis of biochemical samples.

4.Chlorotrimethylsilane is used as a head agent for silicone polymers, which plays a role in regulating the Molecular weight of polymers, especially in the production of silicone oil.
